NutritionIQ · Humanalytics, LLC · Effective July 1, 2026

The short version:

1. Who we are

NutritionIQ is an iOS wellness app operated by Humanalytics, LLC ("NutritionIQ," "we," "us"), a California limited liability company. Questions or requests about this policy: support@thenutritioniq.com.

2. Information we collect

Health and fitness data (with your permission)

With your explicit permission, NutritionIQ reads data from Apple Health (HealthKit), which may include: sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, steps and activity, workouts, nutrition entries, blood glucose (if available on your device), and body measurements such as weight, body fat percentage, lean mass, and height. You control these permissions in the Health app and can revoke them at any time.

Data you provide in the app

Device and technical data

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, password, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers. There are no user accounts.

3. How we use your information

Apple HealthKit commitment: we never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we never disclose it to third parties except as needed to provide the health and fitness features you request, with your permission. HealthKit data is never sold.

4. AI processing

NutritionIQ's coach is powered by artificial intelligence. When you chat with the coach or request AI-generated insights, your messages and relevant health context are sent to OpenAI, our AI service provider, to generate a response. Meal photos are processed the same way for nutrition estimation. According to OpenAI's API data usage policies, data submitted through its API is not used to train OpenAI's models. AI output can be inaccurate — see our Terms of Use and the in-app medical disclaimer.

5. Service providers

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run NutritionIQ, and only what each needs:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data while you use NutritionIQ, because personalization depends on your history. You can:

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by that law. Residents of the EU/UK have rights under the GDPR; our legal bases are your consent and the performance of our contract with you. To exercise any right, email support@thenutritioniq.com.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of breaches as required by law.

9. Children

NutritionIQ is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

NutritionIQ is operated from the United States, and your data is processed and stored in the United States. By using the app, you understand your information will be transferred to the U.S.

11. Changes to this policy
